KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released another Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll Wednesday morning, and the Loyola Wolf Pack dropped one spot but stayed in the top 10 in the rankings, checking in at No. 10.
Loyola (5-4, 3-0 SSAC) and No. 5 William Carey are the only teams from the Southern States Athletic Conference to be ranked in the top 25, though the University of Mobile did receive one vote. Louisiana Christian, who travels to New Orleans for a matchup later today, moved up one spot to No. 14.

Conference play began for the Wolf Pack last week, and the team swept all three matches 7-0 against Blue Mountain, Abraham Baldwin, and Tennessee Southern. Loyola is now on a four-match winning streak after a challenging start to the season.
Adele Fereres leads the Pack in overall victories this season. The graduate student is 6-0 in singles and has gone 5-3 in doubles matches with senior Ponce at the No. 1 position. Ponce, ranked No. 45 in NAIA singles, has a 4-5 record at the top spot.
Freshman Presha Shanthamoorthi, ranked No. 42 in singles, has gone 5-3. She's also 4-5 in doubles but has won three straight with Sofia Amodu, another freshman. Amodu is 4-0 in singles this season and only dropped one total game in the three conference matches last week.
Graduate student Avery Frierson, who has played most of her singles matches on the No. 2 court this season, has a 4-1 record at the No. 2 spot. She also has won four doubles matches, two with Amodu and two with senior Juliette Finch.
Loyola has two home matches this week, starting with a ranked contest against No. 14 Louisiana Christian at 2 p.m. at the City Park Tennis Center. The Pack will return to City Park tomorrow at noon for Senior Day and a match against Mobile.
