KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Loyola Wolf Pack women's tennis team dropped one spot but remained in the top 10 in the national rankings Wednesday in the third NAIA Women's Tennis Coaches' Top 25 Poll of the 2026 season.
Loyola checked in at No. 9 in the national poll, joined by fellow Southern States Athletic Conference team William Carey (No. 5) in the top 10.

Loyola's women's team is 1-4 this season, with all five matches being played against teams ranked in the top 10 in the NAIA at some point this season. The last match was on February 19, a close 4-3 loss to LSU Alexandria, which swapped spots with Loyola in the rankings to move up to No. 8.
The other losses were against current No. 6 Xavier, No. 3 Tennessee Wesleyan, and William Carey, with the one win coming against No. 12 Holy Cross at the NAIA Indoor Championship.
Adele Fereres leads the team in singles wins from the No. 4 position and is 2-0 this season in singles. Loyola has also gotten singles wins from Micaela Ponce, Avrora Volkova, and Presha Shanthamoorthi. In doubles, the team of Avery Frierson and Sofia Amodu is undefeated, while Ponce and Fereres, and Harris and Shanthamoorthi each have recorded a win.
Loyola returns to the court tomorrow morning in a match against Dillard. The Bleu Devils are also ranked but fell to No. 18 in today's poll. The Wolf Pack will then head to the SSAC Roundup in Montgomery, Alabama, to play matches against Blue Mountain Christian, Abraham Baldwin, and Tennessee Southern.
