NEW ORLEANS – For the second year in a row, the Loyola Wolf Pack beach volleyball pair of Amaya Bazemore and Isabella Rodrigue has been honored with an AVCA Top Flight award by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.Â
Â
The Top Flight program, now in its eighth year, recognizes beach pairs who compete in at least 15 matches together at a specific flight and win at least 75% of their matches. This year, 80 pairs representing 35 schools—from all three NCAA divisions, NAIA, and Two-Year Colleges—have earned Top Flight status.

Â
After putting together a 15-6 overall record in 2025, Bazemore and Rodrigue finished 2026 with a 14-1 mark, with their only loss coming in a three-setter against NCAA D-I program Nicholls. They went a perfect 10-0 in Sun Conference matches, adding two more wins in the conference tournament.Â
Â
The AVCA award comes after Bazemore and Rodrigue were the lone Wolf Pack pair to be named First-Team All-Conference in April. Â
Â
Loyola's beach volleyball team finished the 2026 season with a 13-5 record, 8-2 in conference play.
