NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Conference announced its esports All-Conference awards this week, and Loyola University New Orleans' Malachi Lee was named to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Player of the Year.

Lee and the Wolf Pack capped off an undefeated 7-0 record this spring in Sun Conference action, and the program won its second straight conference title. The Wolf Pack's winning streak in league play is now at 15 going into next year's season.

The sophomore from New Orleans was primarily used as the team's closer in each match and crew battle. Each match consists of a best two-out-of-three crew battles, as the Pack only dropped one crew battle all season. Teams are made up of four players, and each player has three stocks to lose in each crew battle.

Lee totaled 77 stocks taken in the six matches he played, which averages to 12.8 per match. He went 28-2 in battles and only lost 19 stocks all season, which averages to 3.1 per match. He had a season-high 21 stocks taken on March 6 against St. Thomas, and another highlight came one week later when he wiped Keiser's entire team in the first crew battle.
