Beach volleyball splits conference matches in Alabama

SARALAND, Ala. – The Loyola Wolf Pack beach volleyball team continued the Sun Conference schedule on Saturday with matches against Webber International and NAIA No. 6-ranked New College of Florida. 

Loyola swept the match against Webber 5-0, marking the program's first ever victory over the defending conference champion Warriors, before falling against New College 3-2 in the last match of the day. 

The Wolf Pack's record this season is now 5-3, 2-2 in Sun Conference play. 

Juliet Petruzelli made her return to the court against Webber International, teaming up with Isis Harink for a 21-13, 21-11 win. Zoe Barnes and Gabrielle Casino also won in straight sets in their first match together this season. Madeline Corrall and Kala Emanuelli dropped their first set of the day but came back to win the next two against the Warriors' top team. 

Amaya Bazemore and Isabella Rodrigue won matches against both Webber and New College at the No. 4 position to improve to 5-0 together this season. Samantha Guillotte and Kiarelis Martinez also won both of their matches at flight 2, toughing out a 16-14 third set in their match against New College. The pair is now 7-1 in 2026. 

New College of Florida, who is 5-0 this year, got close wins on flights 1, 3, and 5 to take the second match of the day. 

The Wolf Pack will close out the weekend on Saturday with a match against Warner University at noon.
