Loyola moves up to finish fifth

OPELIKA, Ala. – The Loyola University New Orleans men's golf team wrapped up the LTU Spring Break Invitational on Thursday, moving up a spot on the team leaderboard to fifth place. The team finished the 54-hole tournament with a score of 917 (+53). 
 

No. 22 Point (+10) won the tournament over No. 6 Dalton State (+11) and Campbellsville (+34). 
 

Cole Haase had the best finish for the Wolf Pack in a tie for 19th (+10). He fired a third-round 77 (+5) after rounds of 76 (+4) and 73 (+1) on Tuesday and Wednesday. He had a rough start to his day with a 6-over front nine, but two birdies and six pars on the back nine dropped the sophomore down to 5-over by the end of his round. 
 

Cristobal Salome was next in a tie for 24th (+13). After rounds of 74 and 71 this week, he shot a third-round 84 (+12) to fall a little on the individual leaderboard. Arsenios Kalogerakis matched his first two round scores with another 78 (+6) to place 30th (+18), and Leon Mishkin (+20) and Manuel Corral (+25) finished tied for 21st and 31st, respectively.
