Wolf Pack finishes FHU Fall Invitational strong Tuesday

HENDERSON, Tenn. – The Loyola Wolf Pack men's golf team turned in a solid performance on Tuesday to help move up three spots on the team leaderboard. The Pack carded an 8-over, 296 during the second and final round of the FHU Fall Invitational, and that was good enough to move them up into third place with a tournament score of 602 (+26). 
 

Bethel won the tournament with a 583 (+7) score, followed by the tournament's host, Freed-Hardeman's 587 (+11). 
 

The total score of 602 is tied for the 10th-best 36-hole tournament score in program history. Loyola jumped a Southern States Athletic Conference rival, Tennessee Southern, to help secure its best finish since Loyola won the Wolf Pack Spring Invitational in April 2024. 
 

Arsenios Kalogerakis led the Wolf Pack with an eighth-place finish, carding a two-round total of 148 (+4) with another 74 (+2) on Tuesday. He started the day on the 12th tee with five straight pars before a birdie brought the freshman to 1-under through seven holes. He had a stretch of three bogeys in five holes, but righted the ship with six straight pars to close out his round. 
 

It's Kalogerakis' first career Top 10 finish in his collegiate debut. 
 

Cristobal Salome had the low round of the day for Loyola with a 69 (-3). The sophomore was even-par through the first four holes, then he swapped a couple of birdies with a couple of bogeys to remain even through 14. Salome closed his round strong by carding another birdie on his 15th hole (No. 10, par 4, 310 yards) and an eagle on his 18th (No. 13, par 5, 534). 
 

His 3-under to-par score is tied for 10th in Loyola's program history, and he moved up 28 spots on the individual leaderboard into a tie for 14th (+6). 
 

Peter Weirich was close behind in 22nd (+8) with another round of 76 (+4). Leon Mishkin moved up a couple of spots as well, shooting a second-round 77 (+5) to place 27th (+11). Miles Russell finished off Loyola's scoring with a 41st-place finish (+18).
