HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Loyola Wolf Pack men's golf team made the short trip to Hattiesburg, Mississippi, this week to play in the Carey Collegiate. The field of 81 golfers played 36 holes of the 54-hole tournament, and they'll finish with the final 18 holes on Tuesday at Canebrake Country Club.
Peter Weirich leads the Wolf Pack in 39th place after a back-and-forth day. He started the day with a first-round 81 (+10) before bouncing back by shooting a second-round 73 (+2). Playing more consistently in the afternoon, Weirich recorded third birdies and 11 pars to help move up the individual leaderboard.
Cole Haase is one stroke behind his teammate in 43rd with rounds of 77 and 78 on Monday. Cristobal Salome and Arthur Mijic are both in 63rd (+18), and Cameron Bruce is in 75th (+24) to round out Loyola's scoring.
