MOBILE, Ala. – The Loyola University New Orleans competitive cheer team traveled to Mobile, Alabama, on Thursday to begin their competition season. The Wolf Pack placed second out of three competing teams with a score of 79.26.Â

Mobile won the event with an 87.18 score while William Carey placed third with a 68.13. Alex Balinbin, Alyvia Pierson, Gabbi Kliebert, Kaylee Truong, Mya Keys, Sydney Brasseux, TaLaija Allen and Zoe Schmit all competed for the Pack.Â

Loyola scored as high as 80.8 with one judge and as low as 77.7 with another judge, with a third judge giving the Wolf Pack a 79.3. In the building skills, the Pack scored the highest in pyramids, and in the tumbling/jumping skills, their jumps were rated highly among the three judges. Loyola also received no deductions to help its total score.Â

Loyola will next travel to Marietta, Georgia, on Sunday, Feb. 23, for the Life University Classic.Â
