Wolf Pack wraps first team tournament Tuesday

WEST POINT, Miss. – The Loyola University New Orleans men's golf team wrapped up Delta State's Dunning Invitational on Tuesday with the third and final round. The Wolf Pack placed 12th out of 14 teams, with a 924 (+60) total score, as the field was made up of all NCAA Division II teams.  
 

Loyola is next scheduled to travel to Vonore, Tennessee, Oct. 12-13, for Tennessee Wesleyan's Bojangles Fall Classic at The Links at Kahite. 
 

Trey Ponce and Peter Weirich led the Pack with 29th-place finishes, both carding a three-round tournament score of 224 (+8). Weirich had the low round of the day for the team, shooting a third-round 76 (+4) with two birdies on his card, while Ponce was one stroke behind with a 77 (+5) on Tuesday. 
 

Playing as an individual, Michael Bullock finished in 35th place with a three-day total of 225 (+9). After rounds of 79 and 72 on Monday, he came back out on Tuesday with another solid round, this time carding a 74 (+2) with two birdies on the day. 
 

Cole Haase and Cristobal Salome contributed to Loyola's team score with scores of 238 (+22). Salome had a third-round score of 77 (+5), while Haase had a 79 (+7). Preston Giroir placed 69th with a tournament score of 248 (+32).
