With one stock left, Nodolski managed to take a stock from Corrin before falling, 1-1. Shawn DeJesus showed up as Kazuya, bringing Corrin to a late final stock before falling, 1-3. Owen Salinas returned as the Pack's last fighter of the set, With one stock for Corrin remaining, Salinas' Luigi made quick work of Corrin, taking the first set lead.

Shawn DeJesus began the second set, facing Southern Miss' Hero. With one stock left, DeJesus forced USM's Hero in a self-destruct, winning 3-2. USM's Pyra/Mythra returned for the second set, but they proved to be difficult with DeJesus' Kazuya having one stock left, 0-1. Nathan Long's Rosalina & Luma matched up with Pyra/Mythra. For Long, his opponent kept its strong streak from the first set going, taking down Rosalina & Luma 3-2. Owen Salinas appeared as Loyola's third fighter. Without taking any damage, Salinas took down USM's Pyra/Mythra in a zero-to-death combo, winning 1-0. USM sent Corrin back in for the second set.
