The Wolf Pack compete against Louisiana College at home on March 5
JACKSON, MS.- The Loyola University New Orleans Women's Tennis team I completed their trip to Mississippi with a match against Millsaps College.
Following their impressive outing on Saturday, Fr. Margaret Adams (Fairhope, Ala./Fairhope) and Fr. Isabel Junqueira took two games from their doubles' opponent, but fell 8-2. Adams also took two games in the opening set of her singles' match, but lost 6-2, 6-0.
Jr. Lauren Rosales (San Antonio, Texas/Incarnate Word) played in the #3 singles position for Loyola. She was able to garner two wins in the opening set, but was swept in the second set to drop the match.
Smith and Junqueria both won one game in their singles matches, but fell in straight sets.
Jr. Alexa Mancuso (Leakwood, Kan./Leakwood) competed in the #1 doubles position, along with Rosales, and the #2 singles' match. She did not win a game en route to consecutive losses.
Fr. Anna Katherine Brunini (Madison, Miss./Madison Central) teamed up with Sr. Madeline Smith (San Diego, Calif./Torrey Pines) in doubles competition and was the #6 player in singles competition for her first two matches of the season. She lost both matches in straight sets. Brunini is a libero on the Wolf Pack Volleyball team and competed in 35 matches for head coach Angela Franke.
Loyola will try to get their first victory of the season against Louisiana College on March 5 at City Park Tennis Center.
