KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its Preseason Top 25 rankings on Friday, and the Loyola Wolf Pack women's golf team will begin the season as the 18th-ranked team in the NAIA. Friday's announcement marked the 60th straight poll the program has appeared in, dating back to the 2021-22 season.
Other SSAC teams in the Top 25 include Dalton State (#3) and William Carey (#9). Tennessee Southern is just outside the rankings in the receiving votes category.
The Southern States Athletic Conference published its 2026-27 Women's Golf Preseason Polls on Thursday, slating the women's team third out of eight competing teams.
The Loyola program finished last season ranked eighth in the NAIA with the program's eighth straight trip to the NAIA National Championship tournament. The team picked up three wins a season ago as well, and finished third in the conference tournament behind Dalton State and William Carey. Sarah Meral was named to a NAIA All-America team, too.
Joining Meral back on this year's squad are veteran golfers Aaliyah Achary and Evie Sisk, and those three have combined to play in 46 tournaments throughout their careers. Freshman Alice Bille, Anni Eberhardt, Brooklyn Lyke, Jasoline Meza and Shauna Seifried, as well as junior transfer Kayla Lancaster, give the team six newcomers.
The Wolf Pack women's team is scheduled to begin their season at the Tulane Classic on Sept. 7-9 at TPC Louisiana.
