MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Loyola Wolf Pack's Catherine Singletary and Sarah Meral were both named to the SSAC Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete Team on Monday. It's Meral's first career appearance on the team, while Singletary has been honored three straight years, including being named the 2025 SSAC Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year.Â

To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA, and have competed in 50 percent of competitions. Graduate students and transfers must have completed one semester at the school.Â
Â
Singletary has a 3.92 GPA as a graduate student in the Loyola MBA program, and Meral has posted a 3.4 GPA as a management major.Â

Meral won two individual titles this season on her way to receiving All-SSAC First Team honors last month. She used a second-round 67 (-5) to win the ALC Eagle Invite in October, then won the LTU Spring Break Invitational in March. The senior ended up placing third at the SSAC Championship for All-Tournament Team honors as well.Â

Singletary also had an individual medalist honor this season, winning the Spring Golden Tiger Collegiate in March with rounds of 76 and 74. She was placed on the All-SSAC Second Team and finished 19th at the conference championship tournament.Â
