No. 8 Loyola finishes regular season Tuesday

COHUTTA, Ga. – In a field full of NAIA Top 25 teams, the No. 8 Loyola Wolf Pack finished the Roadrunner Spring Invitational in sixth place out of 16 teams with a three-round total of 941 (+77). 
 

No. 3 Dalton State, No. 4 SCAD Savannah, and No. 7 William Carey all tied atop the team leaderboard with a 901 (+37) tournament score, while SCAD Atlanta (+42) and No. 14 Pikeville (+69) finished ahead of the Pack in fourth and fifth place. Loyola beat four other Top 25 teams as well, as No. 19 Lewis-Clark State (+79), No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan (+89), No. 21 Truett McConnell (+104), and No. 18 Rocky Mountain (+112) all placed behind the Pack. 
 

Sarah Meral had the best finish for Loyola in 14th place. She had a third-round 73 (+1) to move up 10 spots on the individual leaderboard and finish the week with a 230 (+14) tournament score. She was 2-under through five holes on Tuesday, then moved to 1-under after 11 holes. She recorded five straight pars before a double bogey on her 17th hole dropped the senior to 1-over for her round. 
 

Catherine Singletary carded another 80 (+8) on Tuesday to place 22nd (+18) for the week. Aaliyah Achary had the biggest leap up the leaderboard thanks to her third-round 78 (+6). She finished tied for 42nd (+26), while Johanna Haver (+25) and Evie Sisk (+30) took 40th and 51st, respectively. 
 

Next up for the Wolf Pack is the SSAC Championship, which takes place April 20-22 at Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, Alabama.
