KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Loyola University New Orleans women's golf team maintains its position in the NAIA Top 10 in Friday's Coaches' Top 25, but this time the Wolf Pack moved up to a No. 8 ranking. Loyola started the 2025-26 season as the No. 19-ranked team in the NAIA before quickly moving into the Top 10 in October.Â
Â
Friday's rankings give the Pack their best position in the Top 25 since finishing fifth at the 2022 NAIA National Championship.Â
Â
Loyola is joined in the poll with three other Southern States Athletic Conference teams, as Dalton State and William Carey check in at No. 2 and No. 7, respectively.Â
Â
The Wolf Pack has gotten off to a hot start this spring, winning two of the three tournaments they've played in so far. Catherine Singletary led the team at the Golden Tiger Spring Invitational, as Loyola won that event by 45 strokes with a two-round total of 620 (+44). Singletary earned the first individual medalist honors of her career, too, shooting a tournament score of 150 (+6) with rounds of 76 and 74. Sarah Meral won her second tournament of the 2025-26 campaign in the Pack's next event - the LTU Spring Break Invitational. She had a three-round total of 230 (+14) to lead Loyola to a victory by 36 strokes with a score of 937 (+73).Â
Â
The Pack has a team title in the fall, too, winning the Alice Lloyd Eagle Invitational in October.Â
Â
Next up for the Pack is Dalton State's Roadrunner Spring Invitational, which takes place March 30-31 at Nob North Golf Course in Cohutta, Georgia. Loyola won the Alice Lloyd Eagle Invitational at that same course last fall. The SSAC Championship is scheduled for April 20-22 at RTJ Cambrian Ridge in Greenville, Alabama.Â
