Weirich named to SSAC All-Freshman Team

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference released its men's golf postseason awards on Wednesday, and first-year Wolf Pack men's golfer Peter Weirich was named to the SSAC All-Freshman Team. Cameron Bruce was Loyola's representative on the SSAC Champions of Character Team, and both Bruce and Cade Scarborough earned a spot on the All-Academic Team.

Weirich competed in all eight tournaments this season, turning in three Top 10 finishes and one Top 5. After a couple finishes outside the Top 20 to begin his collegiate career, he earned eighth place (+3) at the MGCCC Invite in October. He started his spring schedule with a sixth-place finish (+4) at the Wolf Pack Invitational in February, and he placed fourth (E) at the BMCU Spring Invite in March. 
 

The Memphis, Tennessee, native is currently the 173rd-ranked player in the NAIA.
