GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Wolf Pack men's and women's track and field teams closed out the indoor season on Friday and Saturday at the Southern States Athletic Conference Championships in Gainesville, Florida. The Loyola women received a score of 132, taking third place of the six eligible teams. With a score of 86, the Loyola men took a ranking of fourth place among the six competing teams. Loyola had sixteen podium finishes, winning three events at the conference championships.

The NAIA Indoor Track and Field Championships will begin on Friday, Feb. 28, ending on Saturday, Mar. 1. With one qualifier, the Wolf Pack will return to Gainesville, Florida, for the national championships.

Madison Ackerman finished the 60-meter hurdles in 9.90, the fifth-best performance in program history. The freshman also earned third place in the event.

Jasmine Martinez posted second-place finishes in both the 5,000-meter run and the mile run. In the 5,000-meter race, the graduate student posted a time of 19:40.05, while earning a time of 5:36.66 in the mile run.

In the high jump, Tenosh Landry placed second with a height of 1.57 meters. Kaitlyn Becnel matched that performance, jumping a height of 1.57 meters and receiving third place.

Jordyn Minor ended the long jump in third place, leaping for a distance of 5.60 meters. The sophomore's 5.60-meter performance is also the third-best in program history. Minor's jump of 5.60 meters earned her NAIA B standard qualification. The NAIA National Championships in 2025 would be her second consecutive trip to the event, after competing in the long jump at the national event in her freshman season.

Renee Anderson earned the sole first-place finish for the Loyola women, logging a distance of 12.25 meters in the shot put. Destiny Clarkston took third place in the event, launching the shot for a 10.71-meter distance.

Anderson also took a spot on the podium in the weight throw, taking third place in the event. Anderson threw for a distance of 11.28 meters.

In the men's 4x800-meter relay, the team of Carter Dural, Joseph Medina, Bryce Darensbourg, and Mason Mack earned first place in the race. The team's time of 8:09.28 is the second-best in program history.

In the mile run, Jace Luckoski took third place, posting a 4:31.09 time. The sophomore's time goes in as the fifth-best all-time performance by any Loyola athlete.

Jacob Kennedy claimed second place in the 3,000-meter run, recording a time of 8:51.60. Kennedy's 8:51.60 time is the third-best spot in program history.

For the third straight week, Martinez posted a program-best time. At the conference championships, the graduate student posted an all-time mark of 10:58.66 in the 3,000-meter run. Martinez also notched third place in the event, in addition to beating out her previous best, set at the UAB Green and Gold Invitational last week. The Shawnee, Oklahoma, native is also the first Loyola women's runner to finish the 3,000-meter event in under 11 minutes.

Ollie Brumfield IV broke his first program record on Friday with a sixth-place finish of 49.22 in the 400-meter dash. The Covington, Louisiana, native now has added his name to the Loyola record book twice, being part of last week's 4x400-meter relay team that set the second-best time in program history. He also added another program record in the 60-meter hurdles, logging a time of 8.59 and earning seventh place in the race.

After setting a program record in the 800-meter run in Birmingham, Alabama, last week, Medina exceeded that time at the conference championships. Medina completed the 800-meter race, logging a program-best mark of 1:58.62. The sophomore also earned fourth place in the event.

Luckoski recorded his first individual program record on Saturday, doing so in the 1,000-meter run. Luckoski's program-best spot of 2:35.43 is the best time by a Loyola runner since 2015. The sophomore also registered fifth place in the 1,000-meter run.

In the distance medley, the Loyola men's team earned first place, along with a program record. Luckoski, Dallas Hughes, Medina, and Kennedy earned the program-best mark of 10:33.94, beating out the previous mark by nearly 30 seconds.

Caleb Curry, Brumfield, Darensbourg, and Hughes got a program-best performance in the 4x400-meter relay. The group claimed third place in the event, posting a program-best of 3:19.06.

In the 200-meter dash, Minor logged the fifth-best time in program history. Minor finished the 200-meter race with a time of 26.69, the best time since 2021. The sophomore also ended the event in 11th place.

Earning the fourth-best mark in program history for the 600-meter run, Olivia Leroux ended the event with a time of 1:47.36. Leroux completed the event with a fifth-place finish.

Ayva Smith, Leila Santana, Leroux, and Madison Reado recorded the second-best time in the Loyola record book with a 4:19.44 time in the 4x400-meter relay. The team took fifth place in the relay event.

The Loyola women's 4x800-meter relay team achieved the second-best spot in the Loyola record book. The team of Madison Leishman, Caitlyn Summers, Kinslie Badon, and Leroux completed the relay race with a time of 10:53.48.

In the triple jump, Jenna Galeas leaped a total distance of 10.37 meters, the third-best performance in the Wolf Pack record book. Galeas earned sixth place in the event.

In the 200-meter dash, Jonell Scott took 16th place in the event. Scott completed the race with a time of 22.54, notching the fourth-best spot in program history.

Curry received 10th place in the 400-meter dash, posting a time of 50.05. Curry's time is the fourth-best in Loyola's record book. Hughes, taking 12th place in the 400-meter race, earned the fifth-best time in program history, 50.82.

In the 600-meter event, Mack snagged a ninth-place finish of 1:25.77. Mack's time of 1:25.77 is the fifth-best spot in program history.

In the 5,000-meter run, Connor Meigs logged the fifth-best time in program history, getting a time of 16:15.05. Meigs took sixth place in the 5,000-meter race.

Connor Fritz added the second-best performance in the Loyola record book with a 1.73-meter height in the high jump. Fritz received ninth place after his 1.73-meter performance. Also in the high jump, Nicholas Martin's height of 1.58 meters is the fourth-best spot in program history.

In the triple jump, Mason Stringer recorded a total distance of 13.33 meters, the second-best performance in the Wolf Pack record book. Stringer received sixth place for his 13.33-meter distance. Martin also notched the fourth-best all-time performance in the triple jump, getting a sixth-place finish of 12.87 meters.

In the shot put, Richard Magann posted the best performance of his career at 11.85 meters. With an eight-place finish, Magann's toss of 11.85 meters is the second-best shot put performance by a Loyola athlete.
