Wolf Pack indoor competes at Dillard

NEW ORLEANS – The Maroon and Gold sent a small group to the Bleu Devils Indoor Classic on Saturday. The four student-athletes competed against crosstown rivals in Dillard and Xavier University.

The Wolf Pack will resume the track and field season when it travels to Baton Rouge for the LSU Purple Tiger meet at the Carl Maddox Field House on Friday, January 17.

Renee Anderson was Loyola's only competitor for the women, participating in two events. In the shot put, Anderson earned a mark of 11.39 meters to win the event. Then, Anderson took sixth place in the weight throw with a toss of 9.69 meters. Jackson Low started the men's events by competing in the 200-meter dash, taking a fourth-place time of 24.13. Bryant Wilson took part in the shot put, earning second place while hitting a mark of 10.53 meters. In the weight throw, Wilson earned fourth place with an 11.33-meter distance. Richard Magann finished just ahead of his teammate in the weight throw, notching third place with a cast of 12.33 meters.
