MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Pack sent athletes to different parts of the country on Friday as they competed in meets at the University of Houston and West Virginia University. On Friday, Bryana Bazile and Kaitlyn Becnel competed in Houston's Tom Tellez Invitational. On Saturday, Madisyn Acosta and Alex Medina competed in the WVU Last Chance meet.

On Friday, May 12, the Wolf Pack will compete in the Dillard Invitational. The upcoming weekend's meet will be the last of the regular season with the NAIA Championships beginning on May 24.

In Houston, the Wolf Pack competed against NCAA Division I programs in the University of Houston, Rice, and Stephen F. Austin. The Loyola field athletes made a splash in the Lone Star State with Kaitlyn Becnel getting a second-place finish in the high jump, tying the fifth-best height in program history at 1.60 meters. Then, Bryana Bazile earned ninth place in discus with a 43.55-meter toss. Bazile's 43.55-meter distance from Friday became the best in program history, beating out her previous best that qualified for the NAIA Championships.

The Wolf Pack track athletes got going on Saturday at West Virginia's Mylan Park. Alex Medina finished 25th in the 800-meter run, ending the race in 2:05.44. Madisyn Acosta ran in the 5,000-meter race, completing the race in eighth place with a 19:31.12 time.
