STERLINGTON, La. – The 23rd-ranked Loyola Wolf Pack baseball team continued the Cajun Collision showcase on Saturday, falling to Baker (Kan.), 8-2, in their second of four games in Sterlington, Louisiana. The Pack (6-4) will play two more games on Sunday, first matching up with Campbellsville (Ky.) at 11 a.m. before a 2:30 contest against Texas A&M-Texarkana.Â
Baker jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, pushing its advantage to 4-0 before Loyola could score in the third.

Cole Romero jacked a two-run homer to cut the deficit to 4-2. Baker, however, answered that with three runs in the fourth and one in the fifth to take its 8-2 lead.Â
Thomas Hakimian shined in his relief performance, finishing the last 2.2 innings with five strikeouts while giving up just one hit.Â
