BATON ROUGE – The Loyola Wolf Pack women's basketball team played their second exhibition of the week against an NCAA Division I opponent on Wednesday, this time matching up with the defending national champions, LSU. The Tigers were too much for Loyola, winning the matchup 121-36.
Eight different Loyola players scored in the game, as freshmen Alissa O'Dell and Caitlin Travis had seven and six points, respectively, to lead the team. Bria McClure and Deniya Thornton both added five, and MG Lymon and Alexis Babineaux each had four. Morgan Hervey and Jada Farrell chipped in three and two points as well.
The Pack will return to their regular-season schedule on Thursday, traveling to Montgomery, Alabama, for the SSAC/Sun Conference Challenge. First, Loyola will play Florida Memorial at 3 p.m. on Thursday before a matchup with Southeastern (Fla.) on Friday at 1 p.m.
Loyola will play one more exhibition against an NCAA Division I team, traveling to Louisiana on Monday, Nov. 27.
