CONWAY, Ark. – The Loyola University New Orleans men's and women's swim teams traveled to Conway, Arkansas, on Saturday to take on Hendrix College and Williams Baptist University in a tri-meet, as each Wolf Pack team claimed two wins on the day. The Loyola men's team beat the host team Hendrix 122-91 and WBU 143-26, and the women's team claimed wins of 135-115 and 166-22 against the same competition.Â

The women's team claimed nine event wins in the 12 races a Wolf Pack women's swimmer competed in on Saturday, as Jenna Copes and Reese Berry each claimed two races and Eve Thomas, Zada Streeter, Emily Cooper, Ella Balhoff and Sophie Sierveld all taking first place in events. The men's team saw equal success as well, winning nine of the 10 races to help secure the team's win easily.Â

Copes won the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle races with times of 2:02.84 and 5:39.69, and Berry claimed first in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events with times of 1:13.40 and 2:40.89. Thomas, who also took second place in the 100-yard freestyle, won the 100-yard backstroke after swimming a 1:02.09, while Streeter, who also had a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, placed first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.90.Â

Cooper also had a second-place finish to go along with her event winner, taking second in the 200-yard IM and winning the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:17.73. Sierveld finished ahead of her teammate in the 200-yard IM, swimming a 2:20.53 while also taking third place in the 50-yard freestyle. Balhoff also had a third-place finish along with her first-place finish, winning the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.69) after placing third in the 200-yard freestyle.Â

Four men's swimmers won two races as well, as Aiden Hinton, Nikolas Presses, Tate Bladon and Harvey Quiddington led the Wolf Pack. Charles Henderson also won a race, taking first place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:05.69 while placing second in the 100-yard butterfly. Hinton won the 1,000-yard backstroke, which is a new event for the Wolf Pack program, and the 500-yard freestyle with times of 10:44.08 and 5:14.20, and Presses won the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke races with times of 56.59 and 2:05.67.Â

Bladon and Quiddington continue to have dominating freshmen seasons, adding their 11th and 10th first-place finishes of the season, respectively. Bladon won the 50-yard freestyle (21.38) and the 100-yard freestyle (48.08), while Quiddington took the top spot in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.47) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:11.26).Â
