Box Score Kaila Anthony and Megan Worry each fuel Loyola with double-doubles
NEW ORLEANS – Playing in their final contest of a four-game home stand, the Loyola University New Orleans women's basketball team defeated Southern University at New Orleans 73-45 Tuesday night in The Den.
The Wolf Pack (3-3) opened the game with a score from Kaila Anthony to take a 2-0 advantage, a lead they would hold throughout the entire game. The junior then gathered a steal on the defensive end before finding Megan Worry for a three-pointer. Loyola would continue to hit from deep, as Paige Franckiewicz made it a 15-7 game with one of the Pack's 11 made shots from beyond the arc.
At the start of the second quarter, Loyola led SUNO (3-7) 23-9, later extending their lead to 16 with 5:45 remaining on a three from Worry. The Pack would take a 32-20 advantage into the halftime break.
The third quarter was more of the same, as the Wolf Pack eventually pushed their lead to 20 on a three from Tay Cannon. As Loyola crawled out to a game-high 28-point advantage, they would go on to claim their third-straight win with a final tally of 73-45.
The Pack will hit the road for their third exhibition against an NCAA DI opponent this season, taking on Northwestern State on Saturday, November 24 at 1 p.m.

Five members of Loyola scored in double-figures tonight: Kaila Anthony, Tay Cannon, Paige Franckiewicz, Presley Wascom and Megan Worry.
Both Anthony and Worry registered double-doubles against SUNO, as Anthony scored 11 to go with 10 assists, while Worry dropped 13 and grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Pack sunk 11 shots from beyond the arc tonight, led by Franckiewicz with four.
Anthony was a force on the defensive end as well, blocking one shot and grabbing four steals.
