HATTIESBURG, MS- The Loyola University New Orleans Men's Basketball team traveled to Mississippi for their final regular season game against Southern States Athletic Conference leader William Carey University on Saturday.

The Wolf Pack could not contain the explosive offense of the Crusaders and fell 105-88 on the road.

After scoring on the opening possession, Loyola did not regain the lead until Fr. G Eric Brown (Homer, La./Aracdia High School), coming off of a career game, hit a three pointer to put them ahead 19-18 with 11:16 remaining in the first half.

However, William Carey responded with a 13-2 run to take a 31-21 advantage with under eight minutes to play in the opening half. The Wolf Pack answered the Crusaders with a 9-2 run to cut the deficit to 33-30.

That would be as close as Loyola could get in the first half, as William Carey closed out the half on a 15-7 run to send them to the locker room ahead 48-37.

Jr. F Johnny Griffin (Chicago, Ill./Bloom Trail High) scored the opening bucket of the second half for Loyola, but the second half belonged to the Crusaders.
