Loyola women's basketball surpasses 100 points for third time this season in victory over Brewton-Parker

Loyola University New Orleans women's basketball eclipsed 100 points for the third time this season in their 102-44 victory over the Brewton-Parker College Barons this afternoon in Mt. Vernon, Georgia.

(Mt. Vernon, Ga.) Loyola University New Orleans women's basketball eclipsed 100 points for the third time this season in their 102-44 victory over the Brewton-Parker College Barons this afternoon in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. This victory marks the Pack's fifth straight win of the 2014-15 season.

For the second straight game, seven members of the Pack recorded double-digit point totals. Senior Janeicia Neely tallied 12 points on 60% shooting and chipped in three assists and one steal in the win. Junior Adrianne Sloboh also notched 12 points, going six for eight from the field. Sloboh also added five rebounds and three steals. Seniors Megan Whittaker and Rebekah Greer compiled 11 points apiece. Whittaker shot 57% from the field, tallying two three-pointers, while Greer aided the offensive effort with six assists on the day. Junior Shayne Charles was one rebound shy of a double-double, contributing 10 points and nine rebounds on the day. Sophomore Caroline Gonzalez and Briana Oglesby also tallied 10 points each, with Oglesby draining a trio of three-point field goals.

The Wolf Pack (5-0, 2-0 SSAC) recorded a stellar defensive performance with 49 total rebounds, led by Charles' nine and sophomore Meghan Temple's seven. Loyola shot 58% from the field and 45% from behind the arc, while also forcing the Barons to turn the ball over 22 times.

Brewton-Parker (2-5, 0-1 SSAC) shot only 21% from the field and a low 9% from three-point range due to the Pack's tenacious defensive effort. Antonise Harper guided the Barons on offense and defense, recording 16 points and seven boards on the day. Briana McClain added 10 points, while Kenya Durden chipped in six rebounds.

Loyola will return home to take on local rival Dillard University on Tuesday, November 25 in the Den at 5:30 p.m.
