Johnson, Lee garner All-Louisiana honors

The two Wolf Pack men’s basketball guards each were selected Second-Team All-Louisiana

NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana Sports Writers Association's 2025-26 Men's Basketball All-Louisiana Teams were released Tuesday afternoon, and Loyola's top two scorers during the year, Kameron Johnson and Zachary Lee, both received Second Team All-Louisiana honors.

The All-Louisiana teams are voted on by sports information directors and media members from across the state, recognizing the top men's basketball student-athletes and coaches from Louisiana colleges and universities at all levels.

This year, Loyola is one of only two schools with multiple players selected to either the First or Second Team, joining McNeese. The Wolf Pack's two selections are the program's most since the 2022 national championship season, and this is the first time Loyola has had two men's basketball players earn at least Second-Team selections in program history.

The two Wolf Pack guards joined an elite list of players in Wolf Pack men's basketball history, as only eight players have now been selected to the First or Second Team by the LSWA.

Johnson adds another major accolade to a decorated season after being named the 2026 Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year. The junior point guard also collected First-Team All-SSAC honors for the first time and was named a Second-Team NAIA All-American. During the season, he picked up three SSAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, as well as one NAIA Offensive Player of the Week award after a 33-point, 12-assist double-double in a four-overtime win against Xavier in The Den on Nov. 4.

Starting 29 games, Johnson led the Wolf Pack with 18.4 points, 6.4 assists, and 1.9 steals per game while adding 4.5 rebounds per contest. He also knocked down 52 three-pointers at a team-best 39.4 percent clip. His 185 assists set a Loyola single-season record and ranked third nationally in the NAIA at season's end. Johnson's 381 career assists now rank fourth in program history.

In his final year with the team, Lee finished second on the Wolf Pack in points, rebounds, assists and steals while averaging career highs of 14.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game, along with 1.2 steals. He posted the highest-scoring game for any Wolf Pack player this year with 36 points against SUNO on Nov. 10. Lee adds his Second-Team All-Louisiana award to his first All-Conference award this season, as he was also named Second-Team All-SSAC.

The Wolf Pack had a 22-8 overall record in the 2025-26 season, which was a 10-win improvement over the previous year. The team also earned a spot in the national tournament field after a season away.
