MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 10 Loyola Wolf Pack faced No. 5 William Carey in the final of the 2026 SSAC Women's Tennis Championship on Saturday at the Mobile Tennis Center. In a rematch of the 2025 championship match, the Crusaders won 4-1. 

With the loss, Loyola's overall record falls to 8-7 ahead of the NAIA National Championship. 

William Carey won matches on courts 1 and 3 in doubles, as well as 1, 2, 5, and 6 in singles. 

Adele Fereres had the lone win for the Wolf Pack, 6-3, 6-1 on court 3 over No. 67-ranked Isabella Lechuga. On court 4, Presha Shanthamoorthi was also leading in her match after a 7-5 win in the first set, but her match went unfinished. 

The selection show for the 2026 NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship is on April 28 at 3 p.m. Loyola will need to earn an at-large selection to make its fourth straight appearance at the NAIA Championship.
