MOBILE, Ala. – The No. 24 Loyola Wolf Pack's run at the 2026 SSAC Men's Tennis Championship ended Saturday in the championship match, as Loyola fell to top seed William Carey 5-0.

After the conference tournament, Loyola's record stands at 7-5. 

William Carey finished the match with wins at courts 1 and 3 in doubles, with singles wins at courts 2, 3, 4, and 5 in singles. 

Sam Izrael and Alfredo Gallegos both won the second set in their singles matches on courts 2 and 3, but both matches went unfinished in the third set. 

In his sophomore season, Gallegos is tied for the team lead in singles victories with Samuel Marin, with both players going 7-4 in singles. Izrael and Gallegos, the No. 32-ranked doubles team in the NAIA, have gone 8-4 during the season in doubles. Jett Nguyen, Hippolyte de Preville, and Izrael all have posted six singles wins, while Luca Abati has five.
