MOBILE, Ala. – The Loyola Wolf Pack men's basketball team avenged a loss to Mobile from earlier in the season on Thursday, defeating the Rams on the road, 83-64. The win moves (RV) Loyola to 20-5 overall and 12-3 in SSAC play, and it'll next travel to Faulkner on Saturday for a 2 p.m. conference matchup.
Loyola is a half-game behind Faulkner atop the SSAC West Division standings as well.
After the Rams scored the game's first points, Loyola used a 9-0 run to take the lead for the rest of the game. Cameron Williams got the Pack on the board, then Kameron Johnson scored four straight points after Kosta Bjelicic converted an and-1 opportunity. Zachary Lee made it a 12-5 lead with a 3-pointer, and another 3 by Johnson pushed the advantage to 21-8 eight minutes into the game.
Jaylen Peters, Reece Seicshnaydre and Leonard Jackson scored their first points of the ballgame over the next couple of minutes, 28-18, and scores by Lee and Williams kept it a double-digit lead, 33-22, with five minutes until halftime. Jackson had five points down the stretch, and Seicshnaydre hit a 3 to bring Loyola's lead to 43-34 at the break.
Jackson got the second half started with a 3, and Lee dunked one home to put Loyola up 14, 38-34. Johnson made another 3 to keep the lead at 12, then a Seicshnaydre 3-pointer capped off a quick 11-2 run for the Wolf Pack, 63-45, with 12 minutes left.
From there, Loyola was 9-for-14 from the floor to squash any hopes of a Mobile comeback. Lee scored six more points, and Williams added five to allow the Wolf Pack to cruise to victory.

Kameron Johnson put up 16 points with six rebounds and six assists. That was more dimes than the entire Mobile team, which only mustered five total assists. It was also his 12th straight game scoring 10 or more points.

With 155 assists this season, Johnson needs just five more to surpass Brandon Davis' record of 159, set during the 2021-22 national championship season.

Leonard Jackson nearly out-shot the entire Rams team from three-point range, hitting three triples while the Rams only made four. Jackson finished with 14 points, which is his team-leading 17th consecutive game in double figures.

Cameron Williams only missed one of his six looks from the field to score 12 total points. In his last two games, Williams has been efficient, going 11-of-12 on field goals.

Reece Seicshnaydre has knocked down two or more three-pointers in four consecutive games. He went 2-for-5 from deep Thursday to finish with 10 points in just 16 minutes.

Kosta Bjelicic picked up a game-high eight rebounds to go along with nine points on just five shots.
