The Wolf Pack will close out the regular season with two games in The Den next week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The (RV) Loyola Wolf Pack men's basketball team put up a good second-half effort, but ultimately lost to Faulkner, 91-82, on Saturday. Loyola is now 20-6 overall and 12-4 in Southern States Athletic Conference play.

Loyola will take on Blue Mountain Christian and Tennessee Southern next week to close out the regular season.

After the Eagles scored the first five points of the second half, Leonard Jackson got the Wolf Pack going in the second half with a 3, then he made three free throws to keep Loyola in the game. Cameron Johnson followed that up with back-to-back 3s, 59-46, Johnson got the deficit down to 11, 61-50, and another 3-pointer for Jackson got the Wolf Pack to single digits, 65-57.

The Eagles pushed back ahead by double digits after that, then a quick 6-0 run, powered by four points from Zachary Lee made it a six-point game, 73-67, with less than six minutes remaining. Johnson got Loyola within five, 75-70, with a 3-pointer, and Jackson made it a four-point game with another from beyond the arc, 79-75, with three minutes left, but Faulkner made 10 free throws down the stretch to close out the contest.
