JACKSON, Miss. – The Loyola men's and women's track and field programs traveled to Jackson, Mississippi, for the Belhaven Invitational on Saturday. The Wolf Pack faced off against several teams from NCAA Divisions II and III, along with other NAIA programs.

Loyola will continue the outdoor season when it travels to the Southern Miss Invitational in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, for the meet Friday and Saturday.Â

Top 3Â Finish

With a third-place finish in the 100-meter dash, Jordyn Minor posted a time of 12.34. The sophomore logged the fifth-best time in program history.

Kaitlyn Becnel and Tenosh Landry recorded podium finishes in the high jump, recording performances of 1.60 meters. Becnel and Landry tied the first-place finisher, with each competitor achieving the 1.60-meter mark.

In the 4x400-meter relay race, Loyola's team of Madison Reado, Ayva Smith, Olivia Leroux, and Leila Santana added a top-three finish for the Wolf Pack, earning a third-place time of 4:26.28.
- Jenna Galeas notched third place in the triple jump on Saturday. Galeas completed the event with a distance of 10.31 meters..

In the javelin throw, Leroux placed second with a 37.35-meter performance. Her 37.35-meter distance is the second-best spot in the Loyola record book.

Jacob Kennedy gave the Wolf Pack a win in the 5,000-meter race, ending the event with a 15:52.63 time. Kennedy's first-place time becomes the fourth-best mark in program history.Â

Also running the 5,000-meter event, Connor Meigs and Drake Breland received second and third places, respectively. Meigs earned a mark of 16:27.26, while Breland notched a time of 16:33.05..

Elio Bejaran threw for a distance of 47.80 meters in the javelin throw to secure a third-place finish. With a distance of 47.80 meters, Bejaran posted the fourth-best performance in the javelin throw in program history.

In his outdoor season debut, Ollie Brumfield IV broke a program record, completing the 110-meter hurdles in 15.54. The freshman notched third place in the event to add another podium finish for the Maroon and Gold.

Loyola's relay team achieved a program record in the 4x400-meter relay on Saturday. The relay team of Caleb Curry, Brumfield, Jack Ourso, and Bryce Darensbourg earned the program-best spot of 3:21.11, along with a third-place finish.

Madison Ackerman placed sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.37. The Loranger, Louisiana, native's time is the fifth-best mark in program history and the best spot since 2018.

Curry also competed in the 110-meter hurdles, earning sixth place in the event, along with the second-best time in program history.

In the 1,500-meter run, Jace Luckoski took eighth place, ending the race with a time of 4:05.16. Luckoski's time in the event goes in as the fourth-best performance in the Loyola record book and the best mark by a Loyola athlete since 2022.

In the shot put, Peyton Joshua finished in sixth with a toss of 11.21 meters. Joshua's 11.21-meter mark is the third-best in Loyola's record book.

Earning 10th place in the hammer throw, Richard Magann sent the hammer a distance of 35.22 meters. Magann's throw of 35.22 meters is the third-best in the Wolf Pack record book.
