Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Loyola sweeps BPC Friday

The Wolf Pack volleyball team traveled to Georgia for their final two matches of the regular season

MOUNT VERNON, Ga. – The 2025 regular season is coming to a close this weekend, as the Loyola Wolf Pack traveled to Georgia for their final two matches. Loyola first took on Brewton-Parker Christian, sweeping the Barons to improve to 23-8 overall and 11-4 in Southern States Athletic Conference play.

The win keeps Loyola in second place and tied with Blue Mountain Christian, and the Wolf Pack owns the tiebreaker over the Toppers. Next up for Loyola is its season finale at Life University on Saturday at 11 a.m. CST.

The Wolf Pack had four different attackers record a kill through the first eight points, Isis Harink, Samantha Guillotte, Clarissa Dupree and Katy Hollingsworth all found the floor to give Loyola an 8-6 lead. BPC kept tying the game, but the Wolf Pack broke a 10-10 tie for good with back-to-back points won thanks to a Guillotte attack and a Harink block. Loyola won nine of the set's next 11 points to take a commanding 19-12 advantage. Harink and Ellie Connor both served aces during that stretch, Hollingsworth notched two kills, and Alexa Palmer got in on the action to help Loyola take a 1-0 lead in the match.

Loyola used a hot start to the second set to jump out to an 11-2 lead. Kala Emanuelli and Belén Puche Laguna each had two service aces, and Harink and Guillotte both had a kill and a block during that opening run. Ivana De Carvalho Peixe tallied a kill and a Lola Blancher ace made it a 19-8 score. Emanuelli and Laguna each served another ace to help close out the set and give the Wolf Pack a 2-0 lead.

Guillotte had three kills in the early going of the third set, 6-2, and she added another to fight off a BPC run, 13-10. Laguna served her second ace of the set a few points later, 15-11, then Lily Clemmer Guillum found the floor, 17-14. After the Barons made it a 19-17 game, Hollingsworth and Palmer recorded consecutive kills to create a little separation, and Guillotte helped finish the match with two more kills down the stretch.
