NEW ORLEANS – On Thursday, Wolf Pack Competitive Cheer and Dance coach Courtney Cadore announced the additions of Darell Honora and Gavanne Davis to her respective staffs. Honora returns to the Wolf Pack after being a member of the cheer team from 2018 through 2022, and Davis arrives on the Loyola Dance staff after serving as the captain of the Saintsations/Cheer Krewe.

"I'm overjoyed to have Gavanne and Darell join our coaching staff," Cadore said. "First and foremost, they are both extremely humble with a tremendous work ethic. Their depth of knowledge and captivating demeanor, I'm sure, will contribute to our athletes' continued high-level development as we embark on a new journey with many new student-athletes."

Honora brings eight years of cheerleading experience in both the collegiate and professional scenes to the Wolf Pack. Honora is in his second season with the New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe, serving as the Head of the events committee. While serving as a captain of the Loyola Cheer team, Honora was also a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He was also part of the 2019-2020 Loyola cheer team that earned a spot in the NAIA Cheer and Dance National Championship in Davenport, Iowa. However, the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"I am extremely excited and honored to be Assistant Coach for Loyola University New Orleans Cheer Team," Honora said. "It is truly an honor to be back with the Wolf Pack in a new role. Being able to help grow and develop the members of this program that helped shape me into the individual and athlete I am today is truly surreal. I cannot wait to build new relationships with our athletes and become one of the best programs this country has seen."

After graduating from Loyola with a degree in Sociology and English in 2022, Honora worked as an educator in the New Orleans public school system and coaching cheerleading and track and field at Booker T. Washington High School. While serving as an assistant coach for the Wolf Pack, Honora will continue to pursue his master's in Educational Leadership.

Davis comes to the Wolf Pack Dance team with over fifteen years of dance training, working the last five years as a member of the Saintsations and New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe. During her time with the Saints, Davis has curated over five dance events, along with directing over 20 three-hour practices and seven performances in the Caesars Superdome. Davis also received honors with the Saints, being selected as the ProAction Dance Member, Veteran of the Year in 2022, along with being voted as the 2024 Pro Bowl Cheerleader.

"I am extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to coach Loyola's Dance and Cheer Team," Davis said. "The program has recently experienced a lot of growth, and I plan to continue working hard to develop a competitive team that reflects professionalism, talent, and high character. I'm eager to prepare these performers for a successful college career, and beyond."

Prior to joining the Saints in 2019, Davis was a professor for the business and technology department at Delgado College. In 2019, Davis was also a dance coach for Ursuline Academy, building relationships with others within and outside the program, finding new opportunities for dancers to perform, curating master classes and guest instructors for training to improve their dancing skills. While at Ursuline, Davis helped the program by building an inviting dance environment for student-athletes.

Davis earned her master of business administration from Tulane University in the A.B. Freeman School of Business, concentrating her studies in Global Management.
