MOBILE, Ala. – After securing the team's first win of the season on Friday, the Loyola Wolf Pack men's tennis team faced its third top-10 NAIA opponent of the season on Saturday, falling 7-0 to No. 4 Middle Georgia State
The Wolf Pack men are now 1-8 on the season, 1-3 in conference play. Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) action continues in April, as Loyola heads to Montgomery, Ala. to continue the SSAC Roundup. The Pack will play Tennessee Southern on Friday, April 5, and Point University on April 6.
Middle Georgia was able to clinch the doubles point with wins on the first tow courts Saturday. Remus Hebhang-Balan and Nick Stam took their court 3 match to a tiebreak, but were outlasted in the tiebreak 7-4.
The Knights needed just three singles wins to claim the match, and they got straight-sets results on courts 6, 3, 4, and 1. Hebhang-Balan and Stam both were able to take a set in their singles matches, but both of their opponents were able to hang on for the win.
