NEW ORLEANS – The Wolf Pack women's basketball team continued its winning streak on Saturday with an 83-53 win over Keiser University (Fla.) to extend its streak to five. The Pack led for the entirety of the match, coming away with a 30-point win.

Loyola will continue the season when it travels to Chandler, Arizona, for the Cactus Classic, facing three teams in four days. The Wolf Pack's first matchup will be against Rocky Mountain (Mont.) on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m.

Alissa O'Dell started by scoring two layups to put the Pack ahead, 4-0. MG Lymon dished a dime to Caitlin Travis for a triple, 7-2. After Keiser hit a 3-pointer, scores by Deniya Thornton and O'Dell stretched Loyola's lead, 13-5. An offensive board and layup gave O'Dell her eighth point of the quarter. A steal and score by Thornton extended Loyola's advantage, 19-9. Travis scored the final bucket of the frame for the Pack, keeping Loyola's lead in double-digit domain, 21-11.

Libby Thompson opened the second quarter with a triple, then Alexis Babineaux connected with Travis on a jump shot. Libby Thompson knocked down a jumper to give the Maroon and Gold a 17-point edge, 28-11. Travis nailed her second 3-pointer of the night to extend that lead, 31-13. O'Dell made two shots at the foul line, also adding a layup to her 12-point half total. Addison Luker hit a three-pointer to get on the board and close out the half for Loyola, 40-26.

Lymon, O'Dell, and Travis each scored baskets in the opening minutes of the second half, 46-30. Lymon notched another bucket with O'Dell adding two more to put the advantage for the home team at 19, 52-33. Another Travis jumper took that lead to 21 with less than three minutes remaining in the third quarter, 54-33. The O'Dell logged her 20th point of the game on a jumper with Travis and Lymon drilling triples to put the Pack ahead 25, entering the final frame, 62-37.

After the Seahawks attempted a comeback early in the fourth, cutting the lead to 19, Thornton hit a corner 3 with a layup soon to follow, 69-45. Kate Thompson entered the game, scoring back-to-back layups, extending the lead to 28, 77-49. O'Dell converted on an and-1 opportunity to taking the home-team advantage to 78-53 with three minutes left. Babineaux also completed a three-point play, giving the Wolf Pack a 30-point edge and taking the victory, 83-53.

Alissa O'Dell had a career-high in points on Saturday, earning 25 points in only 23 minutes of play. The sophomore topped her previous high of 20 points set in November's matchup at Mobile. O'Dell also had nine rebounds and three assists to end the day.

Loyola's 83-point total is its second-highest total of the season. It was also the Maroon and Gold's second win of the season outscoring its opponent by 30 points or more with the last one in the road matchup with Thomas University, the current scoring-high of 86 points.
