COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Men's and Women's Swimming National Championships are taking place this week, and five Wolf Pack swimmers competed on Thursday and Friday during Days 1 and 2 of action.

Eve Thomas highlighted the first two days by earning All-America status in the 100-yard backstroke, placing seventh on Friday with a time of 57.93. That mark is just .01 behind her own school record, too, claiming a Top 8 finish in the event for the second straight season.

Harvey Quiddington and Tate Bladon each broke school records during Day 2 of competition on the men's side. Harvey started Friday with a 12th-place finish in the 400-yard IM, swimming a finals time of 4:05.97, topping his own school record by nearly three seconds. Then, Bladon took down a five-year-old school record in the 200-yard freestyle, placing ninth in the event with a time of 1:40.18. His preliminary time was actually better, as the swimmer set the new school-record mark of 1:39.99 Friday afternoon.

Emily Cooper earned a new personal-best time in the 400-yard IM on Friday, taking 10th place with a time of 4:39.36, which was four seconds faster than her previous best she set last month at The Sun Conference Championships.

Mya Baker and Bladon each earned season-best times in their respective races on Thursday as well. Maker competed in the 500-yard freestyle, placing 22nd in the preliminary round with a time of 5:15.13. That time is less than two seconds faster than her previous season-best, which was set at The Sun Conference Championships last month. Bladon advanced to the finals of the 50-yard freestyle after swimming a 20.70 in the prelims, notching a new season-best time with that mark. He'd finish the evening finals competition in 10th place after getting timed at 20.80.

Also on Thursday, Quiddington and Cooper each competed in the 200-yard IM, placing 24th and 40th, respectively, with times of 1:56.94 and 2:15.71. Like Bladon, Thomas participated in the 50-yard freestyle on the women's side, taking 24th in the NAIA with a time of 25.00.
