Loyola will close out the SSAC Round-Up Saturday against No. 12 Mobile.
MOBILE, Ala. – The Loyola University New Orleans men's tennis team faced two teams ranked in the NAIA's Top 10 Friday, as they continued the tough schedule at the annual SSAC Round-Up.
The Wolf Pack lost both of the day's matches at the Mobile Tennis Center, 4-0 to No. 4 William Carey and 4-1 to No. 7 Middle Georgia.
William Carey didn't allow Loyola to win a set in that match, but the Pack showed more fight against the Middle Georgia Knights.
The team of Samuel Marin and Aubin Duchier won 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. Then in singles, Ernesto Telles won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 on Court 6. Ultimately, however, the Knights would be victorious on every other court.
Loyola closes out the SSAC Round-Up Saturday when they face off against No. 12 Mobile at 10 a.m. Both the Wolf Pack and the Rams will be looking for their first conference victories of the season, as they both stand at 0-4.
