Both Loyola teams will be in action at the SSAC Roundup on March 24-25 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama.
The Loyola University New Orleans tennis team returned to the City Park Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon to welcome both nationally ranked squads from William Carey University to the Crescent City for a Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) showdown.
Saturday's match was a tall order for both Wolf Pack squads as the (RV) men's team battled a Crusaders team ranked No. 6 in the country while the Loyola women's squared off against the No. 12 ranked William Carey unit at City Park.
Men – William Carey 7 Loyola 2
For the men, the duo of Steven Le (SR/Tustin, Calif.) and Ernesto Di Diego got the lone win for Loyola in doubles, defeating the tandem of Paul Chabaud and Lucien Samitier 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
