The men's team came out victorious 5-4 while the women's squad fell 1-8 on Saturday afternoon.
The Loyola University New Orleans tennis team headed to Mobile, Alabama on Saturday morning to square off against Sun Conference representative Southeastern University (Fla.).
On the men's side, the (RV) Wolf Pack escaped Mobile with a 5-4 victory over the Fire. The tandem of Steven Le (SR/Tustin, Calif.) and Ernesto de Diego (JR/Panama City, Panama) took first doubles 9-8 (4) before the team of Sean Presti (SO/Lesigny, France) and Maxime Rumeau (SO/Aix en Provence, France) claimed second doubles 8-2. In singles flight, Galileo Cabrales (FR/San Salvador, El Salvador) took home victory at second position (6-0,6-1) and de Diego added to his doubles win with a 2-6,6-0,6-3 victory at fourth singles. Alexander DePascual (SO/Metairie, La.) earned the other singles win for the men's squad on Saturday, downing the Fire's Thomas Ortega 7-5,7-6 (3) at position five.
