The Wolf Pack faced Bethel, Coastal Georgia, and Dalton State

MOBILE, ALA.- The Loyola University New Orleans Men's and Women's Tennis team competed against Bethel University, Coastal Georgia University and Dalton State University in their first Southern States Athletic Conference Round-Up of the season.
Both teams faced off with Bethel on Friday morning. The women's team was highlighted by Fr. Margaret Adams (Fairhope, Ala./Fairhope) and Isabel Junquiera winning their double's competition but the team fell 5-2.
The men's team won their first match of the year convincingly, 8-1. All of the competitors won their singles' matches, including a thrilling victory for Jr. Steven Le (Tustin, Calif./Irvine Valley).
The Wolf Pack faced off with Coastal Georgia, whose men's team is ranked No. 9 and women's team is ranked No. 20, on Friday afternoon. The women's team fell 6-1 with their only victory coming from a default win for Junquiera.
Jr. Maxime Rumeau (Aix en Provence, France/Irvine Valley) and Fr. Sean Presti (Lesigny, France/Morningside Academy) won their doubles' match, 8-5, but it wasn't enough as the team lost 8-1.
Saturday morning, the Wolf Pack hit the hardcourt against Dalton State University. The women's team fell 7-0 against the stiff competition. The men's team were unable to capture a point against No. 2 Dalton State and lost 9-0.
Loyola heads back to Mobile to compete against Mobile University on February 24.
