The Loyola University New Orleans men's tennis team kicked off the 2016 fall season in thrilling fashion; defeating our Lady of the Lake University 5-4 at Audubon Park on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolf Pack fell behind 0-2 to start doubles action before a default victory at No. 3 brought the score to 2-1 heading into singles.
The Saints claimed the first two single flights to stretch the advantage to 4-1.
Despite being just one match away from defeat, the Wolf Pack responded with straight-set victories by Maxime Rumeau (SO/Aix en Provence, France), Sean Presti (SO/Lesigny, France) and Ernesto de Diego (JR/Panama City, Panama), along with a default win at No. 6, to come all the way back to grab the 5-4 victory.
