(Mobile, Ala.) The Loyola University New Orleans men's tennis season came to a close as they fell 5-0 to No. 4 Auburn University at Montgomery in the first round of the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Men's Tennis Championship this afternoon at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala.
The quarterfinals were originally scheduled for 9 a.m., but were postponed until 3 p.m. due to inclement weather. Match play was also cut short due to the weather, so once the Warhawks clinched the victory over the Pack, competition ceased.

Freshman Ernesto de Diego was up 6-3, 1-1 against Miguel Grifol, but also did not finish due to weather.
The Wolf Pack entered the conference championship 3-14 overall and 1-8 in SSAC play. Loyola earned victories over Tougaloo College, Louisiana College and conference opponent Bethel University during the 2015 season.
The Pack will play a rescheduled match against Mississippi College on Sunday, April 19 at 1 p.m. at City Park Tennis Center, weather permitting. The original match was set for Tuesday, April 14 but was postponed due to rain.
