MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Loyola Wolfpack never trailed against Auburn-Montgomery, as they earn their third conference win in their last four outings, taking down the Senators, 70-54.

Freshman Robert Lovaglio led the 'Pack in scoring with 15 points and also set career highs in assists (5) and rebounds (10) as he recorded his first double-double in a Wolfpack uniform.

Loyola (10-9, 3-2 SSAC) got out of the gate quickly, taking a 9-4 lead over the Senators (6-13, 3-2 SSAC) thanks to two field goals each from Corey Gray and Tommy Stangl. The Wolfpack continued to build on their early lead when Jamal Silas's put-back layup gave LU a 17-8 advantage.

The 'Pack took its biggest lead of the first half when Silas made a steal and quickly brought the ball down the court, dunking the ball through a defender and earning a foul in the process. Silas's conversion of the three-point play put LU up 30-13 with 4:20 remaining. Loyola would end up taking a 14-point lead into halftime.

LU continued to add on to its lead after the break, going on a 14-2 run over the first 7:39 of the half to go up 53-25 over the Senators. Lovaglio scored several buckets during the second half to help LU keep its double-digit lead for the duration of the game.

Loyola will return to The Den on Thursday, Feb. 3 for a matchup against conference foe Mobile. That game is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
