Kaila Anderson

After a five-year playing career at Tulane, Kalia Anderson joined the Wolf Pack women's basketball coaching staff in 2022. 

In her first year with the Pack, Anderson helped Loyola claim the SSAC Regular Season title with a 27-3 overall record and 17-1 in conference play, as Loyola made the field of the NAIA National Championship tournament for the 10th year in a row. 


During her playing career, Anderson was a three-time captain on the Green Wave women's basketball team with honors including the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team/3.0 Club and Tulane's Scholar Student-Athlete of the Month in November 2019. She also took part in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association "So You Want To Be A Coach" program in Minneapolis, the host city for the NCAA Women's Final Four, in April 2022. 

 

Anderson also brings an impressive background in community involvement, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, the Special Olympics, Second Harvest Food Bank, Steve Gleason Basketball Clinic, United Through Sports, the Boys & Girls Club and Laureus Foundation Day of Sports all in the last four years. She also served on the American Athletic Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, as well as worked as a coach for Tulane Women's Basketball Camps.


She graduated with both bachelor's and master's degrees in management.
