After playing in three seasons on the Wolf Pack men's basketball team, Andrew Fava transitioned into a new role on Loyola's athletics staff in 2022, becoming an assistant coach as well as the University Sports Complex Coordinator.
In his first year on the coaching staff, Fava and the Wolf Pack won the SSAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships for the second year in a row. The Pack went 24-7 overall, with the team's 24 wins tied for the second-most in a season in program history.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Fava spent three years at the University of Florida, where he earned a degree in criminology before coming to New Orleans. At Loyola, he spent three years as a leader of the Wolf Pack while earning two graduate degrees (MBA, Marketing and Communications).
As a player with the Pack, he was one of the best shooters in the NAIA, making 183 triples in 65 games with Loyola, which ranks as the ninth-most in a career in program history. During his final season, which saw the team win a national championship, he made 92 threes, which was the third-most in a single season in program history.
