Nguyen, Palmer represents Loyola on SSAC Leadership Council

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The Southern States Athletic Conference announced its school representatives on the league's Student Leadership Council this week, and Loyola volleyball's Alexa Palmer and men's tennis' Jett Nguyen will serve on the 30-student-athlete committee.

Each of the 15 member institutions designated two representatives. Mobile's Bethany Dean and Blue Mountain Christian's Jonah Barnhardt will serve as officers, while Faulkner's Creed Spivey will serve as the SSAC's NAIA ASA representative. The council will provide a collective voice for student-athletes to the conference office and member schools' administrations.

Palmer is a senior on the volleyball team and was elected as the President of the Athletics Department's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the 2026-27 academic year. Nguyen is a junior on the men's tennis team, and he most recently reached the ITA Gulf Regional semifinals with his doubles partner, Luca Abati, last weekend.
