NAIA announces Spring Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics named its Scholar-Athletes for the spring sports this week, and 45 Loyola Wolf Pack student-athletes were honored in the process. Those individuals came from the baseball, track and field, tennis, golf, and beach volleyball teams.

After earning 15 fall-sports scholar-athletes and 19 announced in the winter, the spring announcement gives the Wolf Pack Athletics Department 79 total NAIA scholar-athletes for the 2025-26 academic year. 

To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, the list features an impressive number of student-athletes who have met these rigorous standards.

Spring-sport championship season is underway with the baseball team currently competing in the conference tournament, while the men's and women's tennis teams, women's golf, and student-athletes from the men's and women's track and field teams await the NAIA National Championship later this month. 

The beach volleyball team had an impressive 10 of its 12 eligible student-athletes earn the distinction, and the baseball team match that total with 10 as well. The women's track and field team was next with seven honored in the announced, as the men's team added six. Both tennis teams had five represented, and the women's golf team had two.
