NEW ORLEANS – Loyola University New Orleans has named Dalton Stiegler as the new head coach of its men's and women's golf programs, Assistant Vice President of Athletics Brett Simpson announced on Monday.
"We're excited to welcome Dalton to the Loyola family," Simpson said. "He brings a passion for the game, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the kind of leadership that aligns perfectly with our values and goals. We're confident he will elevate both programs on and off the course."
Stiegler brings a strong foundation in golf coaching, operations, and player development to the Wolf Pack, having most recently served as the head coach for both golf programs at Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan. There, he built competitive teams while overseeing recruiting, practice planning, travel coordination, and academic support, all within NAIA compliance.
"I'm incredibly excited and honored to step into the role of head coach for the men's and women's golf teams at Loyola University New Orleans," Stiegler said. "It's a privilege to join a University with such a strong academic and growing athletic tradition. I look forward to leading these talented student-athletes, building a culture of excellence and integrity, and representing the Wolf Pack with pride both on and off the course."
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Stiegler worked as Outside Operations Manager and PGA Jr. League Coach at Walnut Creek Country Club in Michigan. His golf background also includes club fitting and retail experience at Carl's Golfland, giving him a well-rounded perspective on both the competitive and technical sides of the sport. He is currently a PGA Associate, working toward Class A certification.
A native of Michigan, Stiegler earned his Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Finance from Concordia University Ann Arbor. His experience across athletics, operations, and business management positions him well to lead Loyola's golf programs into their next chapter.
