MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced its annual Men's and Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete Teams on Thursday, honoring three Loyola Wolf Pack student-athletes. In the morning, Andrew Stagni was announced on the six-man team, and Jazmene McMillan and Taylor Thomas both received recognition later in the afternoon.Â

Stagni, a mass communications major, just wrapped up his Wolf Pack playing career all while compiling a 3.78 GPA in the classroom. The Kenner, Louisiana, native appeared in 19 games as a senior and averaged more than eight minutes per game. He was a 3-point threat off the bench for Loyola, and he recorded an average of 31 percent from beyond the 3-point line.Â

McMillan earned SSAC All-Conference Second Team honors as a junior, starting all 30 games while averaging 10.2 points and 3.9 rebounds this season. She also recorded 33 steals and made 36 percent from the 3-point line while recording a 3.69 GPA in the classroom as a sociology major.Â

Thomas, a finance and management major with a 3.74 GPA, was named the SSAC All-Conference Second Team as well, and she was also named to the SSAC Championship All-Tournament Team. The Missouri City, Texas, native averaged 12 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game as a senior, starting all 30 games, too.Â
